As soon as we arrived in Vienna we continued the screening series of our award winning documentary "The Peace Experience". Long time friends and family welcomed our team at the SRF Vienna South Meditation group and loved the movie. Bray Ghiglia and Robert Madison-Blodgett came together once more to delight the audience with their unique mix of peace songs, evergreens and Bray Ghiglia's very own compositions, assisted by audio expert Hannes Peroutka. The refreshments after the movie organized by … [Read more...]
Gorgeous Graz
An open market in Graz welcomed our team with a brilliant sunny day! Graz is Austria's second largest city and has a long tradition as a university town, being home to 6 universities with a total of more than 44,000 students. Gerald Ludwig played our host and shared one of Graz’s most popular restaurants, which was situated at the top of a building overlooking the whole city. There our team mingled with locals who were themselves from different places. This experience reminded us of the … [Read more...]
A Gem called Ljubljana
Ljubljana, the capital town of Slovenia, embraced us like an old friend. Having recently received the title “City of Literature” from UNESCO, and having a reputation as very people friendly, Ljubljana felt so familiar and comfortable. Most importantly, it wasn’t too crowded, given the fact that only about 272,140 people live in the city. The beautiful church and park across from our apartment reminded us of a sleepy, quiet country somehow left to it’s own devices…to just be. The amazingly clean … [Read more...]
Trieste – The Sleeping Beauty
In Trieste, Piazza Unità d'Italia made us feel we were in Vienna by the sea. It was no surprise when our financial peace tour found this city the most powerful location for one of our concluding release and peace meditations. Trieste name means market. Today, the city is in one of the richest regions of Italy, a great … [Read more...]
Venetian Secrets
Traveling through the north of Italy, we felt at home, like native Italians. We made our way to Venice, taking in “The Floating City,” for a night. Walking through the labyrinthine streets of the city on a foggy, atmospheric night made us feel like we were in a different world, transported back to the old Italian merchant times when Venice was a major maritime power. The city, hidden behind her Venetian mask, held an air of mystery and intrigue that we were excited to explore. The following … [Read more...]
Charms of the Italian Riviera
The Italian Riviera town of Pietra Ligure offered our group beautiful apartments overlooking the most breathtaking view of the little village by the sea. Bray took our USA travelers to the Milan airport and toured a group of us through Biella, where Bray's grandpa was born. Warren and Peter enjoyed the trolley to the top of the hill finding an incredible view below. The rest of our group walked through downtown Pietra Ligure, and visited a thousand year old building, which had been converted … [Read more...]
