While touring Virginia and the Carolinas we got to visit Florence and passed by Athens and Vienna. Who would have thought that there is a little Europe in the United States? On our way we stopped in Charlotte, NC, where we met with the local SRF meditation group for a meditation, a Peace Experience movie screening and fellowship. Our East Coast Peace Tour had a fulminant kick-off in Atlanta, GA. We made our first stop at Martin Luther King Jr's National Historic Site. We learned that Dr King was deeply inspired by Mahatma Gandhi's teachings. At the Ebenezer Baptist Church we felt his inspiration and empowerment that ushered America into the Civil Rights Movement.
